Overview
Our Charity Shop Retail Assistants are vital in the fundraising efforts for our Animal Centre. Our Charity Shop provides one of our most regular sources of income. You could gain lots of knowledge and experience that can help with your future career, whilst working with a friendly and dedicated team of other like-minded volunteers.
Main duties and responsibilities

Welcome customers to the shop

Operate the till and cash handling

Accept donations of stock and sign up donors for Gift Aid

Assist the Shop Manager in day-to-day tasks

Help with customer enquiries

Stock preparation including hanging and steaming

Stock presentation
-
Help keep the shop clean and tidy
Requirements for the role
-
A desire to support the animal welfare work of the RSPCA
-
Positive and friendly communication skills are required for this public facing role

Ability to follow instructions and comply with RSPCA policies and procedures
-
Participate in at least one fundraising event, collection or activity per year
