Volunteer Gardening and Grounds Assistant
If you enjoy being outdoors, have an interest in gardening and want to help animals, this is the perfect volunteering role for you.
Overview
Our green-fingered Volunteer Gardening and Grounds Assistants help ensure the centre stays in great condition for the pleasure of everyone who visits our site and the animals in our care. Although you won’t be working directly with the animals, this is an opportunity to be a key part of our animal centre team and make a huge difference to the welfare of animals at the same time.
Main duties and responsibilities

Mow lawns around the Animal Centre

Weed and prune around the site

Sweep and clean the paths around the Animal Centre

Plant and maintain flowers and shrubs around the site
Requirements for the role
-
All training will be provided so no previous experience will be required

A desire to support the animal welfare work of the RSPCA
-
Ability to follow instructions and comply with RSPCA policies and procedures

Participate in at least one fundraising event, collection or activity per year
