The RSPCA Chesterfield and North Derbyshire Branch is selling Christmas trees this year, with all the money going towards rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming neglected, abandoned and unwanted animals.

Residents and businesses are being encouraged to buy a locally grown Nordmann Fir tree starting from just £35 from the Chesterfield branch to give their Christmas that extra sparkle and help bring hope to animals.

Lyndsey Dudley, Supporter Engagement Manager for RSPCA Chesterfield & North Derbyshire, said: “This Christmas, we are selling Christmas trees and every “Pawfect Pine” sold will help us feed, warm and care for the animals who will spend the festive season in our care. It’s a really simple way for people to enjoy a lovely, real Christmas tree while making a genuine difference locally.”

The trees will be available in a range of sizes from 3ft to 10ft, and customers can pre-order online by Sunday, November 23 to guarantee their preferred size, or go down to the centre and choose in person. The Pawfect Pines will be on sale throughout December at the charity’s Animal Centre on Spital Lane, Chesterfield.

Lyndsey added: “The RSPCA Chesterfield and North Derbyshire Branch will be hosting its Christmas Fair on Sunday, November 30 November so this would be the perfect time to pick up your tree, while having a mulled wine and taking part in some of the Christmas fun – which includes a Santa’s grotto for pets!

“By purchasing a Pawfect Pine, you’re not just decorating your home – you’re helping us to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome animals right here in Derbyshire.”
