On behalf of our Chesterfield Animal Centre and fabulous event sponsor Dunston Lodge, we want to congratulate all 64 brave abseilers who took on the Chesterfield Abseil Challenge on Saturday 23rd April 2016! You were courageous, you were inspiring, your were a source of so much pride for our organisation and we love you all!
The phenomenal group of you have helped raise a massive amount of money for our Chesterfield Animal Centre Rebuild Appeal. We have already raised over £8,000 with another couple thousand pledged to come in! We really think we can break that £10,000 milestone – how amazing would that be?! Funds are still coming in, so we will keep you posted on the exact amount as soon as we know.
But now it is time to say thank you to everyone who made this day possible. Thank you to Dunston Lodge for being a generous event sponsor, to Chesterfield College for offering the best abseiling venue in all of Chesterfield with the best organisational team we could have ever hoped for. Thank you to Not Just T-Shirts for helping to design our eye-catching t-shirts that looked fantastic at even 9-storeys high. Thank you to the Derbyshire Times for coming out to see us on the day. Thank you Purelight Photography for dangling over the roof edge to get great shots of every single abseiler. Thank you to Acclimbatize Ltd for giving this exhilarating experience and getting everyone safely on the ground. Thank you to all the volunteers who worked so hard on the day and helped make this event possible. And thank you to all you brave abseilers and all the generous people who sponsored them during this Challenge. You are changing the future for animals in need and we cannot thank you enough for that!
